Diagonal

On some days gravity pulls you down diagonal
you wonder which people were born with a bigger magnet in them
why the ground is so soft in some people's homes
and why I live there
I'm baked slowly inside out
Inside and out.
And finding good parking feels like god for the first time when yr tips are in limbo and you never know why
You never know why.

My Backyard

Randolf was filled with white balls of flowers
the yard flooded in the summer and i'd spend my days covered in mud
i'd wake up in my own vomit
and bleed out of my face
i drive by sometimes
and sometimes i go out of my way
Brooklawn lives mostly in REM
I was topless in the sun and soaking in pools of dirt and pine needles
My walls were black and pink holding a caged me and my dog
I'll buy that house someday
and sleepwalk until i'm dreaming again
Your name is lost to me
i hid a water bong under my bed
and reluctantly kept my virginity
i looked like a girl there and my walls stayed pink
I hate this city, but i love my mom.
i should call her today.
